What We Do

Texas Teens Teach is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging children in local communities to learn in a fun and interactive environment. The team hosts sessions at public hubs, such as parks and libraries, and host mini-classes ranging from extracurriculars like art and psychology to core subjects and STEM classes. In these sessions, students are encouraged to enjoy and understand the importance of learning all while having fun and socializing in a safe, local environment. While the organization is based out of Weatherford, TTT serves the entirety of the DFW area. TTT invites all children from diverse backgrounds to the sessions. We invite any questions regarding TTT sessions via our contact page.

Our Story

Bailee Wilson and Joey Portillo are two teens from Weatherford Texas. After half a year of planning, we have launched our non-profit Texas Teens Teach. We wanted a way to give back to our community but also teach and share with children, our passions. We both believe education is really the foundation of not only a happy life but also a tool that can change the world. So we decided to bring that change back home and create a platform for our peers that also value education to share their passions and interests with our local community. In the recent months, Texas Teens Teach has had a lot of successful growth including our board members speaking on a panel at the Texas Social Media Conference, being interviewed on Fort Worth Today and now reaching out to underprivilaged communites through out the DFW area.  Which brings us to our revelation, education is empowerment, not only for the students but also for the teachers.

How we are spreading the message
